Jeff Sturdivant is a NYC-based Costume Designer working in opera, theater, dance, and film. Mr. Sturdivant's work has been seen in venues locally in NYC (HERE Arts Center, Theater for the New City, Dance New Amsterdam), nationally across the USA, and internationally in Italy, France, The Netherlands, The UK, Germany, India, and Israel.
Mr. Sturdivant's design credits include work for the internationally acclaimed Les Ballets de Trockadero de Monte Carlo, as well as Mauckingbird Theatre Company, EgoActus, KYL Dance Company, Adelphi University, Marymount Manhattan College, Temple University, choreographer Jae Hoon Lim, Pilobolus, Texas Shakespeare Festival, and others. Additionally, Mr. Sturdivant has designed numerous independent feature and short films.
Mr. Sturdivant holds an MFA in Costume Design from Temple University, where he received the Zelma H. Weisfeld Scholarship in 2014 for his dedication to the art and craft of Costume Design, and a BFA in Costume Design from Webster University Conservatory of Theater Arts. He is a proud member of IASTE 764, working as a costumer in television and film. He also works as a fabricator in his own studio in addition to working for friend and collaborator Sam Hill of Sam Hill Studios.
In addition to Costume Design, Jeff works as assistant set designer and project manager under close friend, mentor, and super stylist, Michelle Flood. Jeff’s projects with Michelle include The Governor’s Ball, The Meadows Festival, ads for Ralph Lauren, Vineyard Vines, and special events for Production Glue.
